For thousands of students working hard for a government job, the past few days have been full of stress. The SSC CGL Tier-1 exam 2025 has been canceled for the third time in a row. Many candidates are still waiting for clarity about their future attempts.
What Happened So Far
The exam was first canceled on 12th and 13th September 2025. Students thought the problem would be solved after that. But on 14th September, the exam was again canceled at many centers.
Many students traveled from far places to attend the test but had to return without giving the exam.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) confirmed the cancellation in an official notice on the SSC Eastern Region website. According to the notice, the exam at Ideal International School, Ranchi was canceled and will be rescheduled later.
Why Were SSC CGL Exams Canceled?
The SSC has not given an official reason yet. But reports from students and media point to some common problems.
- Technical and server failures
- Power supply issues
- Poor management at exam centers
- Infrastructure problems and negligence
These problems were reported in many cities like Delhi-NCR, Gurugram, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Jharkhand, and Dehradun. Because of this, the exams were postponed again and again.

When Will the SSC CGL Re-Exam Be Held?
The SSC has announced re-exam dates for some centers. For Delhi-NCR, Gurugram, and Jammu, the new exams will be held on 24th, 25th, and 26th September 2025.
For other centers like Kolkata, Jharkhand, Dehradun, Jhansi, and Ranchi, the dates will be declared soon. Students will also get updates through SMS on their registered mobile numbers.
What Should Candidates Do Now?

- Do not follow social media rumors.
- Keep your admit card and documents ready, as new dates may come at short notice.
